My parents arrived in Singapore today, and apparently they had tried calling me on my phone, which failed (naturally) and I did not think I would see them until tomorrow, which is why I was a bit out of sorts when they showed up on my doorstep: I was in the throes of spring cleaning--in other words, it was a fine mess to behold. I had no excuse for myself, and I really just wanted to convince them of my maturity and stamp my foot, "I can take care of myself, really. I can. I can!"
